The activity of the research group focuses on knowledge engineering and human-computer interaction and their application in technology enhanced learning.
The knowledge engineering focuses on the development of models to improve the functionality of tools and applications in interactive environments, where standards and specifications are key to achieving interoperability between tools and applications developed.
According to the area of human – computer interaction, research focuses on the design, development and evaluation of tools, from the user-centered design perspective of in order to improve user experience systems technology and accessibility for all people.
Main research areas include the use of techniques to formalize knowledge representation and reasoning about interactive systems, techniques that allow capture and analyze users’ interaction with interactive systems; and their application in the context of technology enhanced learning .
In particular, the applied research of the group is focused on technology enhanced assessment, analytics and feedback (TEAAF).
